Terms & Conditions

By registering for the Serpent Rising, Lotus Awakening pilgrimage, you agree to the following terms and conditions. This sacred journey is designed to be transformational, immersive, and spiritually expansive. It requires a high level of personal responsibility, commitment, and presence.

1. Registration & Deposit

  • 50% deposit is required upon acceptance to secure your place on the pilgrimage.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due prior to 45 days before departure.
  • Your registration is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

2. What’s Included

Your pilgrimage package includes:

  • All group accommodations during the tour
  • Ground transportation within Egypt
  • Group temple and site entrance fees
  • Group guidance, ceremonies, and facilitation
  • Daily meals as specified (details provided in your welcome package)

Note: Flights to/from Egypt, internal flights (*1 or 2 required, we will guide you on which flights to book), travel insurance (required), admission to GEM (museum optional), extra meals/snacks/lunches while out in town, drinks at meals, souvenirs, and gratuities are not included.

3. Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens. However, due to the advance planning and financial commitments required for international group travel, the following cancellation terms apply:

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost will be retained; the rest (if already paid) will be refunded.
  • Cancellations made within 60 days of departure: No refunds will be given unless your spot can be filled, in which case a partial refund may be offered at the organizer’s discretion. Spots may be transferred at the organizer’s discretion (a screening call must be done first with the new participant to ensure they are a good fit for the group).
  • No-show or early departure: No refunds will be issued.

We highly recommend that all participants purchase travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and medical coverage.

4. Participant Responsibility

  • You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport (with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of arrival in Egypt).
  • You are responsible for acquiring the necessary visa before entering Egypt.
  • You agree to show up with respect, emotional maturity, and a willingness to participate fully in the group experience.
  • You understand that this is a spiritually immersive journey and may involve deep inner work, early mornings, and physically demanding days.

5. Health & Safety

  • You agree to disclose any relevant health conditions (physical, mental, or emotional) that may affect your participation.
  • The organizers are not liable for any injury, illness, accident, loss, or delays that may occur during the pilgrimage.
  • You are responsible for your own well-being, travel preparations, and any medications or treatments you may require.

6. Conduct & Community Agreement

This is a sacred journey. We ask all participants to:

  • Honor the land, temples, and cultural heritage of Egypt with reverence.
  • Maintain confidentiality, respect boundaries, and uphold group safety.
  • Refrain from disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful behavior.
  • Dress modestly when visiting temples, pyramids and sacred sites to respect local culture.

The organizers reserve the right to ask a participant to leave the pilgrimage if their behavior endangers the group dynamic or the sanctity of the experience. No refund will be given in such cases.

7. Changes to Itinerary

While we strive to follow the planned itinerary, the organizers reserve the right to make changes due to weather, political conditions, group needs, or other unforeseen circumstances. All changes will be made with the group’s safety and highest good in mind and with clear communication.

8. Force Majeure & Political Conditions

In the event of political unrest, natural disaster, civil instability, or any force majeure event that could impact the safety of participants or the feasibility of the journey:

  • The organizers reserve the right to postpone, reschedule, alter, or cancel the pilgrimage in accordance with safety recommendations and official travel advisories.
  • In such cases, every reasonable effort will be made to recover and redistribute any refundable costs minus a small administration fee. Deposits can be carried forward to an alternative date or event as well.
  • The organizers will not be held financially responsible for circumstances beyond their control and strongly encourage comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for trip interruption or cancellation due to political or global events.

9. Media Consent

By participating in the Serpent Rising, Lotus Awakening pilgrimage, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of being photographed or filmed during group activities, ceremonies, and site visits. These images and recordings may be used by the organizers for future promotional purposes, including but not limited to websites, social media, and marketing materials.

We will always aim to portray participants with respect, integrity, and sensitivity, honoring the sacred nature of this journey.

If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please inform us in writing prior to the pilgrimage and we will do our best to honor your request in group settings.

10. Agreement

By submitting your registration (through our Registration Form here), you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. You understand the spiritual and logistical nature of this journey and commit to showing up with full presence and integrity.
